Gig-goer stunned as two fights break out in one night at Lewis Capaldi concert

A Hamilton gig-goer was stunned to witness two fights breaking out in the one-night at last night’s Lewis Capaldi concert.

The chart-topper was playing infront of a sell-out crowd at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall when the fights unfolded.

Scott Pugh of Hamilton said: “Two fights broke out at Lewis Capaldi in Edinburgh in one night over sad songs.

“The first fight happened about three songs in, down the front of the hall, to which Lewis joked “how can you come to a Lewis Capaldi gig and fight over sad depressed songs?” and then another fight broke out during the second last song where the whole concert got stopped as there was another scuffle in the balcony above.

“But Lewis joked it off again.”

The 23-year-old was belting out heartbreaking tune Hold Me While You Wait when he noticed the brawling fans in the Usher Hall balcony.

Scott was at the gig with his girlfriend and despite the fights said it did not ruin it at all.

He added: “Lewis played it off well with humour.”
