Gibbo's Corner goes LIVE - Your chance to hear the entertaining stories of Newcastle United

Have you heard the one about Gazza on his Harley Davidson driving through the streets of Rome?

No? Okay, but what about the one with Albert Bennett and the alligators?

Okay, okay but surely the one about Jackie Milburn and his inability to cook beans on toast?

These are the weird, wonderful and daft stories of Chronicle Live's John 'Gibbo' Gibson - and that's even before we get on to the actual football.

Gibbo has covered Newcastle United for more than 50 years, and continues to do so to this day.

He's formed friendships with some of the North East's greatest footballers - from Alan Shearer to Malcolm Macdonald, and remembers the greats like Jackie Milburn or Tony Hibbert as if they played yesterday.

As part of The Everything is Black and White Podcast , we launched a special monthly episode called Gibbo's Corner.

It's proved to be one of our most popular features as Gibbo recounts tales of the Fairs Cup, helping Sir John Hall take over Newcastle United, and going out on the lash with some of the Magpies greats.

Yet there are plenty of stories which haven't been told - and we're giving Gibbo the chance to do so but in front of a live audience.

On Thursday May 2, at the Warerooms in Newcastle , Gibbo will join podcast host Andrew Musgrove in a live episode of Gibbo's Corner.

Tickets cost £5, and that will get you entry plus a pint or soft-drink, and ticket proceeds will once again go to the NUFC Fans Foodbank.
