Winemaker Michael Pozzan has done it again with his 2015 Giapoza cabernet ($15.99). Bellissimo! The wine is named after his granddaughter Gianna Pozzan, the fifth generation of their winemaking family. It's one of the best cabernets I have had under $20. Priced for everyday drinking, it delivers a real bang for your money. Think blueberry cobbler and luscious dark fruit. A small wedge of Beemster cheese only adds to the excitement. It also went well with arugula salad and balsamic vinegar, and a thick cut chop. See if you can outrun me to the wine shop.
