Giants worked out three veteran running backs on Tuesday

As anticipated, the New York Giants held their weekly workouts on Tuesday in East Rutherford and this time around, there was an emphasis on running backs with Saquon Barkley expected to miss up to eight weeks with a high ankle sprain.

The group of players working out included at least three veteran backs — Benny Cunningham, Fozzy Whitaker and Zach Zenner.

Given that the Giants didn’t bother checking in on players like Jay Ajayi or C.J. Anderson, it stands to reason that they are content moving forward with Wayne Gallman as their RB1.

As of Wednesday morning, none of the players who worked out have been signed.
