Giants will play Tom Brady, Buccaneers in 2020

Everyone knew it was a possibility, but when legendary quarterback Tom Brady announced that he would not be returning to the New England Patriots on Tuesday, it took the entire sports world by storm.

A few hours later, Brady’s new destination had been revealed — the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It’s weird, right? There really is no way around the oddity of seeing Brady in another uniform and envisioning him throwing passes for anyone other than the Patriots, but here we are.

So weird…

But, as fate would have it, the New York Giants will get a firsthand look at Brady in his new uniform in 2020 as they are slated to play the Buccaneers at MetLife Stadium.

When that game will take place is anyone’s guess, but the Brady-Giants rivalry will be rekindled in a unique way — one that includes new uniforms and the absence of Eli Manning.

The Giants, of course, defeated Brady and the Patriots in both Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI, and were one of the few thorns in his side throughout that dynasty run. But the question now becomes, what will the evolution of this rivalry look like and how will it feel when so much has changed?

We’ll find out later this year.
