Giants will open training camp on July 22

The New York Giants open their three-day minicamp on Tuesday and will then wrap organized team activities next week, paving the way for a summer break leading right up to the start of training camp.

Rookies will report to East Rutherford for camp on July 22 and then the remaining team will report on July 24.

Those dates will give the Giants roughly two and a half weeks before they open their preseason with a game against the New York Jets on August 8.

The preseason will end on August 29 against the New England Patriots and the regular season will begin one week later against the Dallas Cowboys. Again.

During training camp, the Giants will aim to settle several positional battles, including those at right tackle, inside linebacker, outside linebacker, cornerback and, of course, backup quarterback.
