Giants vs. Cowboys Player of the Game: Saquon Barkley

It was not pretty for the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon at AT&T Stadium, as they were blown out by the Dallas Cowboys, 35-17.

One of the few bright spots for the Giants in the game was last year’s NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year winner, Saquon Barkley, who despite the first play he had from scrimmage, picked up where he left from last season.

On the ground, Barkley had his first 100-plus yard game, as he had 11 carries for 120 yards. On the second carry of the game, Barkley nearly took it into the end zone with a 59-yard run.

Even on runs where they weren’t large gains, Barkley still made highlight-reel rubs.

Barkley also had four catches for 19 yards, thus giving him 139 total yards in the game. Having the 100-plus total yard games was a common occurrence for Barkley last season.

Despite the horrific loss to start the 2019 season, Barkley is already on his way to likely having another solid offensive season for the Giants.
