Giants vs. Cowboys Player of the Game: Antoine Bethea

Some might call it the “curse of the black cat” tonight. In the end, it was a case of a team in first place who came into town and beat down a rebuilding team.

And on Monday night, that was exactly the case as the Dallas Cowboys came into MetLife Stadium and defeated the New York Giants, 37-18, which gives Dallas the series sweep over their NFC East rivals.

The Giants had their moments where they looked like they could potentially upset the Cowboys. On the opening play of the game, Dak Prescott was picked off by veteran safety Antoine Bethea, which set up a field goal for the Giants early in the first quarter.

Bethea had one of his best games of the season for the Giants, recording nine total tackles with an interception, a pass deflection and a fumble recovery.

On the season, Bethea has 67 total tackles. The interception was his first of the season.

In the end, the Giants still lost, allowed over 30 points again on defense and dropped to 2-7. But in Bethea’s case, he still gave his best efforts and tried to help the Giants end the losing streak.
