The New York Giants will go on the road to face off against the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday for the second matchup between the two teams this season.
The Cowboys come in as two-touchdown favorites, give or take a point, against a Giants team they shut out in Week 1 of the season.
Both teams are coming off a loss in Week 9 and for the Giants, they are just looking to stop the bleeding after a couple of embarrassing losses the last two weeks.
Here are three causes for concern ahead of Sunday’s game.
Tommy Devito's first start
Two weeks removed from appearing against the New York Jets — an overtime loss in which the Giants staff wouldn’t allow him to throw the ball — rookie Tommy DeVito will get his first NFL start.
Devito played okay after coming in relief of Daniel Jones last week, but the Cowboys pose a whole other threat in the rookie’s first start.
Devito will feel the pressure from the Cowboys all game long and this one could get out of hand in a hurry.
Cowboys pass rush
If the Week 1 performance by the offensive line is any indication of things to come the second time around against the Cowboys, Tommy DeVito should expect the defense in his face all game long.
In the opening game, the Cowboys racked up seven sacks against Daniel Jones.
The Cowboys have one of the league’s best in Micah Parsons, whose presence will be felt on Sunday.
The turnover battle
In the first matchup between the Cowboys and Giants, Dallas forced three turnovers, contributing to their +5 turnover ratio on the year. That rank is tied for the sixth-most in the league.
After taking over for Daniel Jones last week, DeVito threw two interceptions against the Las Vegas Raiders.
With the Giants being such heavy underdogs, the turnover battle could be crucial in even keeping this game close.
