Giants vs. Bills Player of the Game: Saquon Barkley

For the second week in a row, the New York Giants had some early hope in a game. But for the second straight week, the Giants ended up being handed a defeat, this time, to the Buffalo Bills in their home opener.

There was a lot that went wrong for the Giants, but for the second straight week, there was a lone bright star in running back Saquon Barkley.

Barkley was impressive on the opening drive, as he had four carries for 55 yards and scored a touchdown.

After that, though, the Giants offense never got into enough of a rhythm and the Bills offense demolished Big Blue’s defense and took advantage of their weakness in the secondary.

For the second consecutive week, Barkley finished with over 100 total yards, as well as over 100 yards rushing. He had 18 carries for 107 yards and the touchdown.

Barkley also had three catches for 28 yards, which gave him 135 total yards for the game.

A week ago, Barkley had 139 total yards against the Dallas Cowboys, 120 of those yards on the ground.

Despite the struggles early on, Barkley is already off to a solid start to the season and has clearly shown that he is one of the league’s premier backs that can shine every week.
