Giants vs. Bills inactives: Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton out

The New York Giants (0-1) and Buffalo Bills (1-0) square off on Sunday afternoon from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey in the first home game of the new year for Big Blue.

Both teams have officially announced their inactives for the game. Below is a full list:

New York Giants

  • WR Sterling Shepard (concussion)
  • WR Darius Slayton (groin/hamstring)
  • TE Garrett Dickerson (calf)
  • RB Paul Perkins
  • QB Alex Tanney
  • OL Chad Slade
  • OL Eric Smith

Buffalo Bills

  • WR Andre Roberts (quad)
  • TE Tyler Kroft (foot)
  • CR Taron Johnson (hamstring)
  • OL Ike Boettger
  • OL Ryan Bates
  • OL Conor McDermott
  • S Jaquon Johnson

For the Giants, there have very real issues with their depth at the wide receiver position. Although Cody Latimer will play, he was limited this week with injury, while Bennie Fowler, Cody Core and TJ Jones are the healthiest players the team has behind him.

On the defensive side of the ball, Deandre Baker will start at cornerback in place of Antonio Hamilton, while undrafted rookie Ryan Connelly will start at inside linebacker in place of Tae Davis.
