Giants vs. Bears Player of the Game: Eli Manning

Last week, it was New York Giants rookie Daniel Jones who opened everyone’s eyes in his preseason debut against the New York Jets.

This week, in their second game at MetLife Stadium against the Chicago Bears, it was Eli Manning who looked like he was in mid-season form and ready to go for Week 1.

Manning looked extremely sharp in the only drive he played against the Bears, going 4-of-4 for 47 yards and an eight-yard touchdown pass to Bennie Fowler.

Jones also looked good in his second game under center when he took over for Manning, as he went 11-of-14 for 161 yards and a touchdown. However, Jones lost two fumbles in the game. Luckily, the Bears were only able to convert three points off those two turnovers.

The Giants went on to win their second preseason game over the Bears 32-13.

Despite Jones looking solid in training camp and continuing to improve with each preseason game, Manning will still hold the starting job when Week 1 rolls around next month and his sole series on Friday night shows why.
