Giants Twitter was a bit kinder with the selection of Dexter Lawrence

New York Giants Twitter melted down when the team selected Duke quarterback Daniel Jones at No. 6 overall, but their tempers were calmed a bit with the selection of Clemson defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence at No. 17 overall.

With Lawrence, the Giants get a monstrous run-stopping middle of the line kind of guy, which isn’t necessarily the pass rusher the team needed, but could dominant the league nonetheless.

At 17, #NYG select Clemson DT Dexter Lawrence. More of a run stopper, he had four sacks combined the last two seasons. He came off the field often on third down. I don't know what to make off this…
