Giants Twitter turns on Daniel Jones after 3-interception performance

New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones was loudly booed during an appearance at Yankee Stadium long before he ever took the field for Big Blue, which was a carryover from the 2019 NFL Draft.

When Jones’ name was called at No. 6 overall, armchair general managers from across the country were certain the Giants and GM Dave Gettleman had made a tremendous mistake because that’s what the people on the magical TV box said.

That perception changed a bit after the rookie’s first two starts in which he led the Giants back to .500 for the first time since 2016.

However, after a so-so performance against the Minnesota Vikings and his first true rookie hiccups against the New England Patriots, those same bandwagon-jumping fans are once again on the fence. Some have even leaped over and insist they were right all along and that Jones is “garbage.”

Welcome to New York, kid. And more specifically, welcome to the Eli Manning treatment.

Here’s what fans are saying about Jones after just four career games, including a loss against the dynasty Patriots, who have arguably the best defense they’ve ever sported, while the Giants were down 63% of their offensive production (Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram and Wayne Gallman).

And it just goes on like this, so insert a facepalm here.
