The New York Giants have been bad for what feels like a long time and whether it was right or wrong, their fan base had grown tired of the same old song and dance.
On Sunday, that all change and the excitement mounted immediately as rookie quarterback Daniel Jones took over under center.
Regardless of how the game played itself out, there was fresh blood on the field and reason to believe something was finally changing with these Giants. And then, like a white knight had come riding in, Jones led Big Blue to their biggest comeback win in nearly 50 years.
As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ potential game-winning field goal sailed wide right and Jones was credited with his first win, Giants Twitter began to party like it’s 1999.
We could go on for days with some of these takes, but you get the gist of it. There will be a lot of crow pie eating happening in the Northeast and around the country this week.
