Giants to sign OT Cam Fleming to one-year deal

The New York Giants added some much needed depth to their offensive line and didn’t leave the division to do so.

The Giants are signing former Cowboys offensive tackle Cam Fleming to a one-year deal.

The contract details were not known at the time of the signing with the exception of the deal being for one year.

Fleming spent the last two seasons with the Cowboys, so he will be reuniting with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett and offensive line coach Mark Colombo; both of which he played for over those two seasons.

Prior to that, Fleming spent the first four seasons of his career with the New England Patriots, as he was a fourth round pick of their from the 2014 NFL Draft.

Fleming played in 14 games for Dallas last season and started in three; filling in for Tyron Smith at left tackle and La’el Collins at right tackle.

The Giants offensive lime situation is in flux currently, as it’s unclear what Nate Solder’s role will be and last year’s right tackle, Mike Remmers, is now a free agent. Regardless of what the Giants do, the addition of Fleming helps add a veteran presence who knows the offense, the coaches and the pressures of playing in the NFC East.
