Giants to host CB Tre’Davious White for a visit

The New York Giants have been hard at work since free agency began and that will continue this week when they host former Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White for a visit in East Rutherford.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that White met with the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday and will also meet with the Tennessee Titans in addition to the Giants.

The 29-year-old White was a first-round pick of the Bills in the 2017 NFL draft and, to date, has spent his entire career in Western New York.

In 82 career games (82 starts), White has recorded 311 tackles (242 solo, 12 for a loss), five forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, six QB hits, 3.0 sacks, 68 passes defensed and 18 interceptions.

White was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2017, earned Pro Bowl honors in 2019 and 2020, and was named an All-Pro twice — First Team in 2019 and Second Team in 2020.

During that impressive 2019 season, White led the NFL with six interceptions (tied with Stephon Gilmore and Anthony Harris).

White obviously has a history with Giants general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll due to their crossover in Buffalo.

During this week’s workout, the Giants are likely to dig deep into White’s injury history. He suffered a torn ACL in 2021 and a torn Achilles in Week 4 of last season.
