Giants to attend Yankees-Mets Subway Series as team-building activity

In years past, the New York Giants have liked to do things off the field to promote team building.

Whether it was bowling or going to the movies, the team has emphasized the notion of rapport with their players. This year, Giants players and staff will be doing something a little more extravagant and much more public as far as their team-building activity goes.

On Monday, members of the Giants will head to Yankee Stadium to catch the opening game of the Subway Series between the New York Yankees and New York Mets.

No matter what the records of the two teams have been in the past, crowds always draw in to the Bronx or to Queens to see the Yankees and Mets play each other. The Yankees reside in first place of the American League East, while the Mets are a couple games under .500 and in third place in the NL East.

By the time the Giants players head to the Bronx to see the game, will the Yankees have signed free agent starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel? That would certainly add some intrigue to things.
