The New York Giants agreed to terms with veteran offensive lineman Cam Fleming late on Wednesday evening, which continued their busy work in free agency.
Here’s a quick look at three things Giants fans should know about Fleming.

A whole lot of familiarity
Fleming was a fourth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and spent the first four years of his career with the New England Patriots, where he worked with current Giants head coach Joe Judge.
Not only that, Fleming also served as a backup to Nate Solder early in his career, even replacing the veteran in 2015 after Solder landed on IR.
After his time with the Cowboys, Fleming signed with the Dallas Cowboys, working side-by-side with Jason Garrett and Marc Colombo.
Needless to say, Fleming will arrive in East Rutherford a well-known man.

Another Stanford guy
They say there is no such thing as coincidences, but there has to be because Fleming is now the third Stanford graduate the Giants have agreed to terms with this offseason.
In addition to Fleming, linebacker Blake Martinez and tight end Levine Toilolo are also Stanford products.
Meanwhile, cornerback James Bradberry attended Samford.

Fleming brings versatility
Early details regarding Fleming’s contract suggest it could “max out” at $4 million, which likely means there are incentives tied to playing time.
Fleming will not only have the opportunity to come in an compete to start (likely at right tackle), but he may benefit from those playing time incentives based off his versatility alone.
Fleming is a swing tackle who has filled in on both sides of the line, but he’s also frequently used as a jumbo tight end and is capable of playing inside at guard, both on the right and left side.
