Giants sign LB Keion Adams, waive LB Jeremiah Harris

The New York Giants made a minor roster move just prior to the start of their mandatory three-day minicamp on Tuesday by shuffling some players at the linebacker position.

The team announced that undrafted rookie Jeremiah Harris had been waived/injured and that Keion Adams was signed to take his place on the 90-man roster.

Harris, who joined the Giants out of Eastern Michigan, had hung on throughout organized team activities, but suffered an undisclosed injury that could end his season. Should he clear waivers, Harris will revert to injured reserve and be prime for an injury settlement.

Adams, who was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers out of Western Michigan in the seventh-round of the 2017 NFL Draft, had bounced around their practice squad but never appeared in a regular season game.

At 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds, Adams provides the Giants with another body fit for their 3-4 defense under James Bettcher, but is considered a long-shot to make the team.
