Giants sign Chad Slade to practice squad

The New York Giants announced 13 of their 16-man practice squad on Sunday afternoon, but as the league day ended at 4:00 p.m. ET and veterans were able to be added outright, they signed a 14th.

That addition came by way of a familiar face — offensive lineman Chad Slade, who had been released earlier in the day as part of a roster shuffle.

With the addition of Slade, the current practice squad consists of the following players: quarterback Cooper Rush wide receivers Johnny Holton, Alex Bachman, Derrick Dillon, Austin Mack and Binjimen Victor, offensive linemen Tyler Haycraft and Kyle Murphy, defensive lineman Niko Lalos, defensive backs Chris Williamson and Jarren Williams, and long snapper Carson Tinker.

Running back Sandro Platzgummer is also on the practice squad under an international exemption.

The Giants have two open spots remaining on their practice squad.
