Giants sign CB Terrell Sinkfield

With injuries ravaging the position, the New York Giants went out and added some depth at cornerback on Wednesday morning, signing long-time NFL journeyman Terrell Sinkfield to a contract.

Sinkfield (6-foot-1, 200 pounds) originally signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Iowa in 2013. After that cup of coffee, Sinkfield went on a journey all across the NFL, making stops with the Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders and even the Giants.

In between some of those stints, Sinkfield spent time in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger Cats and BC Lions. He also spent a portion of the 2019 season with the Orlando Apollos of the now defunct AAF.

Although Sinkfield has never appeared in an NFL game, he did appear in 36 career CFL games, playing cornerback, wide receiver and return specialist. He recorded 108 receptions for 1,592 yards and 10 touchdowns, gained 296 yards on 44 carries and a combined 1,268 yards and one touchdown on 69 kick/punt returns.

The Giants still have on spot open on their 90-man roster.
