Giants select Devin White, Cody Ford in David Diehl’s mock draft

The New York Giants posted a video on Wednesday night featuring David Diehl and Bob Papa teaming up to make their very own mock draft. And with the Giants holding the No. 6 and No. 17 pick, there were plenty of ideas for the duo to juggle.

With the sixth overall pick, Diehl had the Giants going with LSU linebacker Devin White.

With Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa, Ed Oliver, Quinnen Williams and Josh Allen off the board, Diehl went with the best player available in White. The pick fills a need for the Giants at linebacker — a position many have been calling for Big Blue to address in the draft for years.

Diehl referred to White as the ‘perfect’ 3-4 scheme linebacker and would start immediately for the Giants.

As the mock draft continued, Diehl also made a pick for the Giants at No. 17, selecting offensive lineman Cody Ford out of Oklahoma. The selection of Ford would give the Giants a complete offensive line helping to block for Saquon Barkley in the run game and also give Eli Manning improved protection in the passing game.

Big Blue has some tough decision to make in Thursday’s first round. After hundreds of mock drafts, we will finally find out what direction the Giants will go with their two first round picks.
