Giants’ Saquon Barkley scheduled for ACL surgery on Oct. 29

It’s been a few weeks since the New York Giants lost star running back Saquon Barkley. Many have come out and said how confident they are in Barkley’s recovery, including Giants’ head coach Joe Judge and former Giant Victor Cruz.

On Friday, we learned that Barkley will have his surgery on October 29 and the road to recovery will begin shortly after that.

Barkley has certainly been missed since going down a in Week 2, although he hasn’t completely stayed away from the team. He was spotted cheering on his teammates from a suite at Lincoln Financial Field Thursday night.

It will be a long road back for Barkley, but like many have said, he has the right attitude and necessary hunger to come back stronger and better than ever.

In Barkley’s absence, the Giants have gone with a rotation at running back, including Devonta Freeman, who left the Eagles game with an ankle injury, veteran Dion Lewis and Wayne Gallman, who played well on Thursday night.
