NEW YORK _ Giants safety Kamrin Moore was arrested in New Jersey over the weekend and charged with third-degree aggravated assault against a woman after "punching her in the face with a closed fist and causing her to lose consciousness," according to a report.
The Giants announced that Moore, a second-year player who appeared in two games last year, was suspended after NJ.com published its report on Monday. Police accuse Moore of "placing his foot on the unidentified woman's neck and applying pressure." When the woman got up, Moore knocked her out.
NJ.com writes that police say the fight began when the victim, who had been dating Moore since January, went to Moore's house because he wasn't replying to her texts. There, she found another woman and began fighting her before Moore got involved.
In a statement, Moore's agent wrote that the player "will be exonerated and vindicated completely of these baseless charges."
