Giants re-sign WR Bennie Fowler

The New York Giants announced on Tuesday that they have re-signed long-snapper Zak DeOssie and defensive back Tony Lippett, both of which had been previously reported.

However, the team also revealed that wide receiver Bennie Fowler has also been re-signed, which had previously flown under the radar.

The 27-year-old Fowler originally signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted rookie out of Michigan State in 2014.

While with Denver, Fowler appeared in 45 games, recording 56 receptions for 698 yards and five touchdowns. He also famously caught the final throw of Peyton Manning’s career — a two-point conversion in Super Bowl 50.

After leaving the Broncos, Fowler bounced around between the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots before eventually landing with the Giants in October of last year.

Fowler went on to appear on 10 games for the Giants with five starts in 2018, hauling in 16 receptions for 199 yards and one touchdown. His best game came in a Week 8 loss to the Washington Redskins when he caught four passes for 48 yards.
