Giants re-sign K Aldrick Rosas

The New York Giants have officially re-signed Pro Bowl kicker Aldrick Rosas, the team announced Thursday.

Rosas was an exclusive rights free agent when the offseason began. Since the Giants tendered the 24-year-old, he had the option to sign the contract or sit out the 2019 season.

Despite a rocky rookie season, Rosas exploded for a breakout campaign in 2018, which ended in a Pro Bowl selection. The Southern Oregon product converted 32 of 33 field goal attempts and converted 31 of 32 extra point attempts for the 2018 season.

The spectacular season included Rosas converting the longest field goal in Giants history, which was a 57-yarder against the Chicago Bears at MetLife Stadium.

In a rough 5-11 season, Rosas was one of the few bright spots and will be looking to continue his dominance for Big Blue in 2019.
