Giants re-sign Jon Hilliman to practice squad

Running back Jon Hilliman is back with the New York Giants. The rookie running back was signed back to the Giants’ practice squad o Monday.

Hilliman was part of the recent turnstile of roster moves by the Giants that involved him, running back Austin Walter and backup quarterback Alex Tanney.

On October 10, the Giants waived Tanney to add Walter off the practice squad to bolster their running back corps for the game against New England since Saquon Barkley and Wayne Gallman were ruled out.

After the game the next day, Walter was waived and Tanney was added back to the active roster. Then Hilliman, whose fumble was returned for a touchdown for the Patriots, was waived in favor of former Baltimore Ravens running back Javorius Allen. Then on Monday, Hilliman was signed back to the practice squad.

The Giants now have the maximum ten players on their practice squad.
