Giants re-sign former Titans QB Alex Tanney to two-year deal

The New York Giants re-signed former Titans quarterback Alex Tanney to a two-year contract on Monday.

The 31-year-old Tanney was set to become a restricted free agent on March 13.

With the move to keep the veteran on the roster, the Giants now have three quarterbacks under contract in Tanney, Kyle Lauletta and starter Eli Manning.

No information has been released on the value of the deal.

In his two seasons with the Titans (2015-2016), Tanney was 10-of-14 passes for 99 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions for an overall rating of 114.9.

While he has drawn high praise from the coaching staff, Tanney has still yet to take a snap for New York.
