Giants RB Saquon Barkley on Miles Sanders: He’s just getting started

Miles Sanders entered the NFL with fresh legs after sitting behind former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley in college, and with both players now in the NFL, the Eagles star has made quite the impression on his former teammate.

While speaking to Erin Mccarthy of The Inquirer, Barkley stated that the best is yet to come for Sanders who’s become one of the NFL’s top pass-catching running backs.

“Not at all,” the New York Giants’ Pro Bowl running back said Thursday in a telephone interview. “Miles Sanders is a great worker. He has a great work ethic. He’s always trying to find ways to improve his game.”

Sanders is averaging 4.4 yards per carry and 37 yards per game rushing, but he’s made the most of his opportunities catching the ball out the backfield.

Sanders is averaging more yards per reception than any other Eagles player (13.9), has the longest catch of the season for the Birds and leads all NFL running backs with 11.3 yards per target.
