Giants rally again, stun Ravens to improve to 5-1

The New York Giants were riding high coming into a Week 6 game against the Baltimore Ravens but were completely overmatched early on Sunday.

Baltimore was gashing the Giants for big plays and appeared ready to cruise to victory. But in keeping with the theme of the season so far, Big Blue stormed back late and managed to sneak away with another stunning victory.

The win was highlighted by strong play from Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley battling through injury and big-time plays from the defense with time winding down.

With the win, the Giants improve to 5-1 on the season.

Rookie edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux come off the edge and knocked the ball out of Lamar Jackson’s hand with 1:40 remaining in the game.

The Giants offense managed a first down, thanks in large part of a high football IQ play from Saquon Barkley, and were able to ease into victory formation.

Left tackle Andrew Thomas was slow to get up during the final offensive series of the first half and walked into the locker room very gingerly at halftime. He returned to start the third quarter but his left ankle was heavily taped.

Late in the third quarter, center Jon Feliciano began limping. A few plays later, he left the field with a limp and immediately went into the medical tent. He did eventually return midway through the fourth quarter.

Midway through the fourth quarter, running back Saquon Barkley lowered his injured shoulder on a run and promptly left the game. He was shaking it on the sideline and appeared to be in significant pain, but returned after missing just one play.

Late in the fourth quarter, linebacker Oshane Ximines got banged up and was forced to leave the game.

Head coach Brian Daboll will hold a Zoom call with the team’s beat writers on Monday afternoon before a few players are also made available.

Big Blue will return to practice on Wednesday ahead of a Week 7 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 23 at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. Kickoff is 1:00 pm. ET.
