Giants players, coaches face long odds to win year-end awards

This is the time of year when wagerers take advantage of the long odds on some the NFL’s season-long outcomes and postseason awards. Many gamblers lay 100 dollars down on long-shots in hopes of getting lucky on a 50- to 100-1 shot coming in.

Casinos and other betting outlets publish their odds in May after the NFL draft and there are some bargains out there to be had.

When it comes to the New York Giants, for believers who think this could be the year they turn things around, the bargains are aplenty as per BetMGM.

NFL MVP

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley are listed at +10000 (or 100-1).

Coach of the Year

Giants head coach Joe Judge is listed at +2500 (or 25-1).

Offensive Rookie of the Year

The Giants’ first round pick, wide receiver Kadarius Toney is +5000 (or 50-1).

Defensive Rookie of the Year

Linebacker Azeez Ojulari, the Giants’ second round pick, is +2000 (or 20-1).

These awards, naturally, are subjective and are voted on by the media and players and coaches. They are not announced until the night before the Super Bowl at the NFL Honors ceremony, so you’ll have to wait for your money.
