The New York Giants made several roster moves on Tuesday, beginning with placing wide receiver Amba Etta-Tawo on injured reserve. Etta-Tawo tore his Achilles tendon this week at practice and is lost for the season.
The Giants also waived tight end Isaiah Searight (hip) and defensive end Alex Jenkins. Searight was a local product out of Fordham.
Big Blue picked up tight end Jake Powell, who played his college ball at Monmouth with current Giants rookie wide receiver Reggie White, Jr.
Powell (6’6″, 230) caught just 15 passes as a senior last year but as a junior was a First Team All-Big South selection and a Second Team All-ECAC selection.
