Giants open as huge road underdogs vs. Chargers

The New York Giants (4-8) have opened as 10.5-point underdogs against the Los Angeles Chargers (7-5) in Week 14, per Tipico Sportsbook. The over/under opened at 45.5 points.

The large spread is due to the uncertainty at quarterback for the Giants. Daniel Jones is out with a neck injury and his backup, Mike Glennon, suffered a concussion in the Giants’ 20-9 loss to the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday.

Los Angeles has scored 41 points in two of their last three. And they have played tight games versus the other three NFC East teams this season.

In Week 1, they eked by Washington, 20-16, and lost to Dallas, 20-17, the next week. In Week 9, they nipped the Philadelphia Eagles, 27-24.

Both teams are 6-6 against the spread this season. The Giants are 3-3 ATS on the road. The Chargers are 2-4 ATS at home.
