Giants open as 2.5-point home underdogs vs. Bills

The New York Giants aren’t getting any respect from the oddsmakers these days, especially after their blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 of the regular season.

The Giants are currently listed as 2.5-point underdogs at home this Sunday against the offensively challenged Buffalo Bills. The over under for the game is 42.5.

Big Blue, who were 7.5-point underdogs, fell flat on their faces down in Big D, 35-17, allowing 494 total yards to Dak Prescott and crew and looked exceptionally sad in the process. The defense was putrid, riddled with confusion with no pass rush as Prescott flambéed them for 405 yards through the air.

On offense, they scored a touchdown on their first possession but could not sustain drives when they needed mismanaging their approach in key spots and under-using star running back Saquon Barkley after he got off to a smoking start.

The Bills will return to MetLife Stadium for the second consecutive week. They came into their game with the Jets a 2.5-point dog and won the game outright, 17-16, overcoming a 16-0 deficit.

Buffalo is not Dallas, however. The Cowboys did not turn the football over against the Giants on Sunday whereas Buffalo committed two turnovers versus the Jets. The Bill also don’t have the offensive arsenal Dallas possesses, so this line could trend down as the week goes on.
