Giants open as 15.5-point road underdogs vs. Patriots

The New York Giants (2-3) will travel to Foxborough to face the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots (5-0) on Thursday.

Oddsmakers aren’t reflecting on the rich history between the two teams, making the Patriots a 15.5-point favorite over the Giants, who are a team in transition these days to put it kindly.

The over/under is 45, which may seem low, but four of the Pats’ five games and three of the Giants first five games have gone under this season.

New England has scored 155 points while relinquishing just 34, a net of 121 points. No other team is close. The Giants are minus-28 on the season.

Since the the beginning of the 2017 season, the Giants have a record of 10-27. The Pats? Their record is 34-9 with two trips to the Super Bowl, winning one.

The Patriots are 3-2 versus the spread this season. The Giants are 2-3.
