Giants now 5.5-point home underdogs against Vikings

The Daniel Jones era began with back-to-back wins over the last two weeks. Following the New York Giants’ win against their division rival Washington Redskins, Big Blue opened up as 4.5-point home underdogs for their Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Now, just days ahead of Sunday’s game at MetLife Stadium, the line has moved and the Giants are now 5.5-point underdogs against the Vikings according to Bet MGM.

The over/under for the point total is set at 44.5 which is significant because prior to Week 4, the Giants had given up at least 28 points in their first three games.

Between Saquon Barkley not being ruled out for Sunday and Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs rumored to be asking for a trade, Sunday’s matchup has its fair share of storylines.

The Giants will have their hands full with the Vikings offense, although the play of Kirk Cousins has been suspect at best this season. Still, it should be a test for the Giants defense, which has also had its struggles this season. And Minnesota’s defense may be the best Jones has faced to date.

There may also be some extra motivation from Giants head coach Pat Shurmur as his former team comes into MetLife Stadium.
