Giants met with more than 20 prospects at East-West Shrine Game

The East-West Shrine Bowl was the NCAA’s spectacle on Saturday as several dozen college All-Stars got to compete in front of NFL scouts one more time.

The New York Giants were among the 32 teams who had representatives on hand over the past week, and they met with more than 20 prospects during that time.

Via Walter Football, here’s the full list of prospect meetings:

  • Binjimen Victor, WR, Ohio State
  • Cameron Clark, G, Charlotte
  • Michael Onwenu, G, Michigan.
  • Aaron Parker, WR, Rhode Island
  • DeMarkus Acy, CB, Missouri
  • Kevin Dotson, G, La.-Lafayette
  • Bryce Huff, DE, Memphis
  • Tyler Huntley, QB, Utah
  • Juwan Johnson, WR, Oregon
  • Casey Toohill, LB, Stanford
  • Michael Pinckney, LB, Miami
  • Rashad Smith, LB, Florida Atlantic
  • Kyle Murphy, G, Rhode Island
  • Keith Gavin, WR, Florida State
  • Tommy Stevens, QB, Mississippi State
  • Jordan McCray, WR, Oklahoma State
  • Derrek Tuszka, DE, North Dakota State
  • Jordan Glasgow, S, Michigan
  • Luther Kirk, S, Illinois State
  • Cordel Iwuagwu, G, TCU
  • Michael Danna, DE, Michigan
  • Rico Dowdle, RB, South Carolina

A quick glance at the list and it’s easy to notice a lot of guards, a lot of wide receivers and a few linebackers. It’s also easy to notice the Giants didn’t meet with a single center or offensive tackle (based on the reported interviews).

As far as the wide receivers, they are all big-bodied and around 6-foot-3 or above. That’s one thing the team is currently lacking.

Is any of that telling? Maybe, maybe not. We’ll just have to keep an eye on the trends leading up to the NFL Combine.
