Giants’ Logan Ryan takes shot at Titans fan base, calls it ‘non-existent’

New York Giants defensive back Logan Ryan took a shot at the fan base of his former team, the Tennessee Titans, when speaking to the media on Wednesday.

Ryan was asked about the frustration Giants fans have towards the team after another lackluster season, to which he said he understood why they felt that way and appreciated their passion.

However, in his answer he took an unnecessary swipe at Titans fans, per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.

“I played in a franchise in Tennessee where the fan base was non-existent,” Ryan said. “You couldn’t even get fans to the game, you had to put tickets half off to get fans to the game.”

While Titans fans have gotten a bad wrap in recent years when it comes to attendance and opposing teams invading Nissan Stadium, saying the fan base is “non-existent” is a stretch in every sense of the word.

Furthermore, this was an unnecessary shot to take considering the question had nothing to do with his former team.

And it’s unfortunate, as Ryan received plenty of support from Titans fans when he was with the team, and many fans lobbied for Tennessee to bring him back when he hit free agency in 2020.
