Giants’ Kamrin Moore accuser fabricated story, attorney says

The attorney representing New York Giants safety Kamrin Moore says his accuser fabricated allegations against him — allegations that led to his arrest on domestic assault-related charges.

The woman — whose name is withheld as an alleged victim of domestic violence — claims Moore punched her, stepped on her throat and knocked her unconscious during an incident last Thursday. It has also been reported that this woman and another woman, now identified as Moore’s girlfriend, engaged in a physical altercation after the former showed up at his residence unannounced.

“The claimant in this matter showed up unannounced and unsolicited at Mr. Moore’s home to begin an altercation with Mr. Moore’s girlfriend and invent these accusations,” attorney Alex Spiro said in a statement released through Moore’s NFL agent to NJ Advance Media. “He will be fully cleared of all charges.”

An affidavit filed by the Union County Prosecutor’s Office confirms that the alleged victim showed up at Moore’s home after several of her text messaged had gone unanswered. She also informed police that she was Moore’s girlfriend and that the two had been dating since January.

Moore appeared in Linden Superior Court on Monday afternoon.

“While the complaint involves serious allegations, representatives for Mr. Moore are requesting that the media, social media, general public, and Giants fans use extreme caution and not pass judgment upon Mr. Moore until due process has run its course,” said Eugene Lee, president of MBK Sports and Moore’s agent.

“We remain confident that when the truth is revealed, Mr. Moore will be exonerated and vindicated completely of these baseless charges.”

Moore’s combined representation issued an additional statement on Monday evening.

The Giants announced on Monday that Moore had been suspending pending a more substantial investigation.
