Giants’ Joe Judge given second-to-last odds to win Coach of the Year

New York Giants first-year head coach Joe Judge may be stirring some optimism among the fan base, but he’s certainly not making an early believer out of those in Las Vegas.

Most sportsbooks expect the Giants to win between four and six games in 2020, but as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, which has prevented Judge from being hands-on with his team, even that seems like a tall order.

Accordingly, BetOnline has given Judge 40/1 odds (second-to-last) to win the 2020 Coach of the Year Award, which was won by John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens last year.

Here’s how Judge stacks up to those also in the cellar:

  • Joe Judge (40/1)
  • Jon Gruden (40/1)
  • Ron Rivera (40/1)
  • Adam Gase (50/1)
  • Bill O’Brien (50/1)
  • Doug Marrone (50/1)

Unsurprisingly, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick tops the list with 12/1 odds, but he’s not alone. Belichick is tied with Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arian, who now calls Tom Brady his quarterback.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy has 14/1 odds, good for second best, while Doug Pederson of the Philadelphia Eagles was given 25/1 odds.
