Giants’ Janoris Jenkins not spotted at OTA practice No. 4

The New York Giants were back out on the field on Tuesday as the team conducted their fourth of 10 voluntary Organized Team Activity sessions. Starting cornerback Janoris Jenkins led the list of non-participants.

Head coach Pat Shurmur said his absence was due to a graduation in his family.

Of the players mentioned above, Dungey appeared.

In Jenkins’ place was rookie Deandre Baker, who the Giants selected with the No. 30 overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The starting defense is pretty much the as expected. B.J. Hill and Dalvin Tomlinson are the stalwarts on the defensive line while joined by second-year player R.J. McIntosh.

The inside linebackers are the same as last year (Alec Ogletree, B.J. Goodson) with Lorenzo Carter getting elevated to starter on the outside along with free agent pickup Markus Golden.

The safeties are as expected in Jabrill Peppers and Antoine Bethea. The offensive line continues to be fluid with Nate Solder (ankle), Mike Remmers (back) and Jon Halapio coming off a leg injury.
