Giants’ Jabrill Peppers exists 49ers game with ankle injury

The New York Giants suffered devastating injuries in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears, losing running back Saquon Barkley for the season with a torn ACL and wide receiver Sterling Shepard for several weeks with turf toe.

Within the first few moments of their Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers, the injuries continued piling up.

Safety Jabrill Peppers went down in obvious pain during a first possession field goal by the 49ers and spent several minutes on the turf before leaving the field.

While on the sideline, trainers tended to Peppers and were focused specifically on his ankle. The Giants announced that he is questionable to return.

With Peppers out, special teams ace Nate Ebner took the field at safety.
