Giants’ Isaiah Searight suspended four games for PED violation

New York Giants tight end Isaiah Searight has been suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs — a suspension that begin immediately.

Searight was initially signed by the Giants in July after he had been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an injury settlement.

Early on in training camp, Searight, a Fordham product, went down with a hamstring and was waived with an injury designation. After going unclaimed, the tight end reverted to injured reserve where he’s remained ever since.

Searight, who has never appeared in a regular season game, was not going to play in any of the team’s upcoming games anyway, but he will now lose a month worth of paychecks as a result of the suspension.
