Giants invite Rutgers QB Gio Rescigno to local Pro Day

The New York Giants have been doing their due diligence when it comes to the quarterback position leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft.

With Eli Manning signed on for one more year, there’s been a lot of talk about the Giants potentially taking another quarterback to succeed Manning, even if it means that quarterback sits on the sidelines for a year while the two-time Super Bowl MVP starts in 2019.

With the team meeting the obvious choices of Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock and Will Grier, many others have flown under-the-radar. However, the team is digging deep and have invited Rutgers gun slinger Gio Rescigno to their local Pro Day.

The Giants’ Pro Day will be held on Saturday, April 6. The invitation comes after Rescigno had a very strong Pro Day at Rutgers earlier this month.

The senior quarterback never played a full season in his four years at Rutgers and frequently came in as a reserve from 2016-2018.

In his three seasons of actual play, Rescigno  appeared in 13 total games, threw for 1,776 yards with eight touchdowns and nine interceptions.
