Giants injury report: Lorenzo Carter, Cody Latimer are full participants in practice

When the New York Giants took the field for their first practice ahead of a Week 4 game against the Washington Redskins on Wednesday, there were some lingering concerns about the potential availability of wide receiver Cody Latimer (concussion) and linebacker Lorenzo Carter (elbow).

At least for now, it appears as if long-term issues have been averted.

Latimer took another step forward in his return from a Week 2 concussion on Thursday, practicing in full for the first time since being mandated to enter league protocol.

Meanwhile, despite the presence of a large elbow brace, Carter was also able to practice in full.

Wide receiver Bennie Fowler (hamstring) did not join Latimer and Carter in their progression and was once again limited on Thursday. However, the fact that he continues to practice at all is an encouraging sign for his potential availability against the Redskins.

Here’s a look at the full injury report released by the Giants:

Did not practice: RB Saquon Barkley (ankle), LB Tae Davis (concussion), LB Alec Ogletree (hamstring), DL Olsen Pierre (knee), WR Russell Shepard (foot)

Limited participation: WR Bennie Fowler (hamstring)

Full participation: LB Lorenzo Carter (elbow), WR Cody Latimer (concussion)
