Giants inactives: LT Andrew Thomas out, TE Darren Waller to play

The New York Giants will not have their starting left tackle as they take on the Arizona Cardinals on the road in Week 2. Andrew Thomas, hampered by a hamstring injury, was among the inactive players and did not dress.

Tight end Darren Waller will play. He missed some practice time with a hamstring injury during the week but did not have a game designation on the final injury report.

Here are the Giants’ inactives:

  • OL Andrew Thomas
  • WR Wan’Dale Robinson
  • CB Darnay Holmes
  • S Gevarrius Owens
  • LB Azeez Ojulari
  • TE Lawrence Cager
  • DL Jordan Riley

With Thomas out, Matt Peart will start at left tackle.

The Giants allowed seven sacks in Week 1 and the Cardinals’ defense had six. While the Cardinals are missing four defensive starters, they should be able to generate pressure in the passing game.
