Giants hire Chad Klunder as scout coordinator

The New York Giants made several adjustments to their scouting department on Wednesday, including the hire of former Notre Dame executive Chad Klunder as the team’s first even scout coordinator.

Klunder spent 15 years at Notre Dame with the last five coming as the associate athletics director for football operations where he coordinated and oversaw all day-to-day administrative and operational details. He had resigned in 2018 to pursue NFL opportunities.

In addition to the hire of Klunder, the Giants also hired Ben Burress and Kevin Monangai as assistants to the coaching staff.

Finally, the team also promoted Tim McDonnell from pro scout to assistant director of player personnel, and Corey Lockett from intern to pro scout.

General manager Dave Gettleman has done quite a bit of work on the front office this offseason, previously hiring Pete Guelli as the senior vice president and chief commercial officer, as well as several other scouting department moves.
