Halloween may be over for the rest of the country, but it lived on at MetLife Stadium on Monday night during a game between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.
Somehow, some way a black cat found its way into the stadium and then onto the field, leading to a brief delay in the game and some of the greatest ESPN commentary we’ve heard in years.
After darting halfway across the field and unleashing some Saquon Barkley-like jukes, the cat was eventually ushered behind the wall and into the locker room.
The feline was also immortalized in the box score, showing up on the play-by-play as “The game has been suspended. Cat on the field.”
The only question remaining is: Which team will endure the bad luck that is often attributed to black cats?
