Giants haven’t had a winning record at any point in the last five years

Since the New York Giants last made the playoffs in 2016, fans have had very little to cheer about. The team has lost at least 10 games in each of the last five seasons, going a combined 22-58 in that span.

The closest the Giants came to making the playoffs was last year when they finished 6-10, one game back of Washington, which won the NFC East at 7-9. Their struggles have been well-documented over the years, but perhaps no stat puts their futility on display the way this one does.

As shared by Warren Sharp, at no point in the last five years have the Giants spent even one week with a record above .500. They’re unsurprisingly the only team in the NFL that can make that claim, which is quite embarrassing.

Back in 2019, the Giants started 0-2 but won their next two games to pull even at 2-2 through four weeks. Then they proceeded to lose their next nine games and eventually finished the season 4-12.

Last season, they got to 5-7 through Week 13 but lost their next three games before winning the season finale to finish 6-10.

The Giants never really came close to reaching .500 this season, with 1-3 being their best record at any point this year. Currently, they’ve lost five in a row and sit in last place in the division at 4-12.
